Before I start this, let me say that there truely must be an erectile disfunction problem in this nation. I probably delete over 100 spam comments for cialis and viagra every week not to mention other brands touting the cure for the aging male.
Now to the new home update. Yes we closed 2 weeks ago but have yet to move in due to the massive amount of cleaning, painting, and basic repairs to make a 47 year old home livable. The good news is that we are finally moving in this weekend.
Our daughters will have to share a bathroom now for the first time and it will be at least a year until we can afford to update and modernize beyond replacing the sink and vanity. They have a combined shower/tub setup that is a bit peculiar in that it wraps around the length and width. What to do? The good news is that our friends at Tobler can custom make a hemp shower curtain that will fit perfectly. Did you know that when you buy hemp shower curtains from buygreensavvy.com, they can be custom ordered?
Probably not since most websites sell two sizes only . These are hemp shower curtains that they buy in bulk from China or some other offshore location. The hemp shower curtains at Buygreensavvy.com are custom made to order right here in the U.S.A..
Not only Hemp, but Cotton Shower curtains made from U.S. grown cotton. Nice to know you can get something like this and it is made in the U.S..
Happy belated St. Patricks day and till next time……

We are moving to a new home on Wednesday and are very excited about the change. What a great opportunity to green our new home with all the government rebates available. Caution read the fine print.
First, we are in the Sunshine State and what a great opportunity to leverage the sunshine with solar panel installation on the roof. Well, here is where the fine print, or should I say the large bold print comes into play.
On the website, myfloridaclimate.com, there is information relative to what a residential installation can receive insofar as a rebate is concerned. $20,000 is alot of money, surely enough to cover the costs of materials and labor. Lets look at the bold print shall we.
Solar energy system rebates are issued by the Commission pursuant to Sections 377-801-377.806, Florida Statutes, and Chapter 27N-1, Florida Administrative Code, contingent upon an annual appropriation by the Legislature of the State of Florida for the specific purpose of funding solar rebates. The Commission, in accordance with direction from the Governor and/or Legislature, shall be the final determiner of the availability of any funds. REBATES CAN ONLY BE ISSUED IF FUNDING IS AVAILABLE, and the requirements of Sections 377.801-377.806, Florida Statutes and Chapter 27N-1, Florida Administrative Code, are met.
THERE IS NO FUNDING AVAILABLE.
What a downer. The governer has this big law passed but there is no funding available. What happened to the Obama program. What about Al Gore, where is he in the mix of this? Ok, I get it, the state is in a recession and there clearly are unemployed persons on the state rolls, but surely all of our tax dollars are going somewhere.
Think Energy Star products. Now there are rebates available for these products, up to $1500 / year. I can’t think of a better way to jump start the ecomomy then by buying one of these products manufactured in the good old U.S. of A.. What’s that, these are manufactured in China? Say it isn’t so? Is anything made here anymore. Toyota’s sure, I mean who wants to slow down on the interstate.
Luckily, there are a couple of things available to green our new home that are made in the United States. First, Hemp shower curtains. Hemp you say, made here? Well the hemp is grown elsewhere but we buy this fiber and craft the nicest hemp shower curtains right here in the U.S.
What else?????? Oh yes, the gold standard of home water filtration, the multipure water filter is made in the U.S.. Gotta have a new one of those. Leaving the old one behind for the folks buying our home.
Till next time…..
